I was born in Chicago IL, and grew up in Joliet (If you've ever seen the movie "Blues Brothers" that's the Chicago suburb where "Jake" is realeased from prison... well that's my hometown). I started playing piano at 8 years old, taking lessons from the organist that played at my church growing up. In 1994 I moved with my parents to Memphis. At 14 I started learning how to play guitar and joined a few highschool friends and started a band. After a few months of "jam sessions" we went our separate ways musically (as many teenage bands do... lol)

17 years old, I had my first paying gig at a small coffee shop in Germantown for $20 and a dinner. I would play there about once a month until they discontinued their music/dinner night and eventually closed shop. From there I did multiple one time gigs various places around town before joing a few well known band around Memphis... I met one of my good friends and current band partner, Vanessa Sudbury, playing with Kevin Paige.

Vanessa and I formed "Six String Lovers" the begining of 2008 and have been playing together ever since. We have a couple of regular weekly gigs and many spot gigs all over Memphis. I also play multiple places by myself as well, including Superior Bar on Beale Street, Fino Villa in Collierville and Sharky's, just to name a few... So guess that's really really brief bio of my musical history. I should really sit down one day and acutally write a complete bio, but for now, my 5 minute one will do!
